With queues wrapping round borough market, WOKIT may just be the best DIY restaurant around.
EAT•🍴 Imagine being given the freedom to create your own noodle heaven. Choose your base, from courgetti to cauliflower rice, add your protein, pick your fresh market veg then give it a bitta sauce & BOOM.
I went for the courgetti, salmon, sugar snap peas, sweet corn, broccoli all tossed in a delicious miso sauce.
Sit outside, watch the world go by & soak up the borough market atmosphere ☀️
HEALTHY RATING• 🍌🍌 be as naughty or as good as you want.
PRICE • 💰£8 a pot & it could've lasted me at least three meals (but I ate it in about 10 minutes) you can choose add ons which boosts the price up but you are getting more than what you pay for.
2 6 G R A I N S,
EAT•🍴 What would you say to porridge with teriyaki chicken, crushed nuts, coriander, spring onions on? The brown rice porridge soaks up all the sweet soy sauce & gives you the base of a delicious dish.
@healthychefsteph & I shared that as our main & then demolished a sweet bowl for dessert. Coconut milk oats, blueberries, strawberries, toasted coconut flakes, rye granola & a dollop of almond butter. Absolutely deeeeelish.
PRICE • 💰 Averaging out at £5.50 a bowl, for huuuuge portions, you've got a very wholesome & scrummy meal for half the price of a main course in london.
S T I C K S N' S U S H I,
WHO BEST TO TAKE• Anyone in the world, even sushi haters & veggies. This is my London go to, there's one in Wimbledon, Canary Wharf & they're popping up all over the place. I don't normally go to the same place more than twice as I love trying new things but I have honestly been here over 20 times & every time I go back it gets better & better.
EAT•🍴You are honestly spoilt for choice here. It does what it says on the tin. Sticks of teriyaki chicken with leeks, salmon wrapped in bacon, scallops, crispy duck, wagyu beef (& a thousand more) & the most incredible melt-in-the-mouth sushi. If I could live off one plate of food for the rest of my life it would be their Maki deluxe, I can't even explain it : a plate of heaven. Get that to share between everyone to start & then go from there.
The salads are packed with your vegetable quota for a whole week, they come in smalls or larges, with meat or without.
There is noooo way you can leave here without demolishing the desserts. The white chocolate balls coated in crispy popped rice are just mouthfuls of pure euphoria. Get the sharing platter & DO NOT share any of them!
DRINK• Whatever you want, they've got it. Cocktails with popping candy, matcha latte, wine, fresh juices, coffee, literally errrrrythang.
TO BOOK OR NOT TO BOOK•
With three floors worth of space you'd assume you could just rock up but this is seriously busy, especially anytime past 4, so bookbookbook. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
WHERE TO GO AFTER• It's one of those places you can spend your whole evening/night in & you'll be so full up you won't really want to go out after! Make camp early & eat & drink your way through the evening.
HEALTHY RATING• 🍌🍌 you can be as healthy or as naughty as you like.
PRICE • 💰💰 For what it is, it's very well priced. If you're saving up for that summer holiday, share the mini maki & a white chocolate ball each & you'll be looking at a timid £13 each.
